In the final time trial (28 kilometers), the BMC ambassador was able to defend her lead in the general classification, although her advantage was reduced to just 21 seconds from an earlier margin of over two minutes.
Esther Jessica Galarza claimed victory in the mountain stage at the Vuelta a Colombia Femenina, winning a close sprint-a-deux. Racing for BMC-Patobike, Galarza showed her climbing strength despite the challenging conditions. Her teammate, Lilibeth Chacón, also put in a strong performance, finishing third.
Winning the Tour de Wallonie was not only Trentin’s first GC-win for Tudor Pro Cycling, but also the first one of his career. He did win a stage in the Tour de Wallonie before: stage four in 2016.
